Well, I had a nice time at my parents’ place. It was nice to get out of CS for a little while, and I did enjoy dad’s chocolate rum pie :)
I have noticed a tremendous number of access to this site trying to access sites other than this site. So, my solution, let them know quite concisely that they should go away:
Learn what DNS is and fix your computer!
For the rest of you, this server does requires you to use a browser which sends a proper hostname. This is in the hopes that the people hitting this server with random domain names will figure it out.
I imagine it is really people doing something they shouldn’t do, but regardless, I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they are just stupid.
Tomorrow I am moving offices. Maybe I will take pictures of my current and new office? That is an idea, but it would mean I have bring the camera when I ride my bike. It is an option though. It seems like my new office is bigger, so that should be nicer, but it doesn’t have as good of a view. Oh well.
Nothing else is really going on here, so I guess I should best close.
